Ninmah

Ninmah, Mesopotamian (Sumerian and Babylonian-Akkadian) was a Mother Goddess, probably an early syncretization of Ninhursaga. In creation legend she was depicted as a midwife while the mother goddess Nammu made different kinds on human individuals from lumps of clay at a feast given by Enki to celebrate the creation of humankind. She also is regarded as being the mother of the goddess Uttu by Enki. A.G.H.
