Firmament
Firmament is a term in ancient cosmologies meaning the "vault of the heavens" and inevitably associated with sky deities. A prime example is the Egyptian goddess Nuit, often represented as a starry elongated body so her fingertips and toes touched the horizons. (See Our Lady of the Stars) A.G.H
