Draci

Legendary evil spirits which like to prey on women. According to a 12th century legend, draci disguised themselves as wooden plates floating in a river or stream. When the women reached into the water to retrieve the plate the draci would pull them under to care for or nurse their demonic offspring. A.G.H.
