Ambrosia
The "supernatural red wine" of Mother Hera,
which gave the Greek gods immortality. In the Vedas
it was soma, in Persia haoma,
in Egypt sa: was associated with the moon
and the maternal "blood of life," or menstrual blood. A.G.H.
